family. Coconut palms have single ringed stem.
They are poly-gamomonoecious with both male and
female flowers found in same inflorescence;
bees
pollinate flowers.Fronds are large and flow with wind.
Coconut palms require sandy soil, full sun, and high
humidity for growth. Fruits have protective fiber husk,
hard endocarp covering its white flesh, soft to hard as
it ripens. Coconut's nutritional value is great; its
sweet water, white flesh and natural oil are delicious
food choices.
